Emergency Planning for the Foodservice Department


Purpose:Establish plans and protocols for emergency preparedness in the event of a natural, man-made, or reputation disaster.

Objectives: By the end of this training module, participants should be able to:

  • State why we need to plan for emergencies.

  • Understand federal government regulations related to emergency planning.

  • Identify various lessons learned from real life LTC (Long Term Care) emergencies.
